Bruce Wallace
Founder and CEO
Mr. Wallace is Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Congero Development. He has been in the healthcare industry for 24 years and is a visionary industry leader with a dynamic approach. His expertise includes technical writing, engineering, project development, and strategic planning for ambulatory surgery centers.
His career in healthcare started in the facility development and technical engineering of radiological medical equipment. He was responsible for the design, project development and installation of all imaging modalities including MRI, CT Scan, nuclear medicine and ultrasound, which required a broad knowledge base, teaching ability and worldwide travel. Over the next 11 years, Mr. Wallace transitioned to senior sales and manufacturing positions including products such as laser disc storage, ophthalmic lasers, phaco emulsifiers, angiographic intervention, orthopedic power and scopes and endoscopy. These positions included responsibilities for facility development, implementation and management of quality assurance programs, FDA regulated programs, GMP, staff and client education, and product and business start-up.
In 1996, he left the field of capital medical sales and manufacturing to develop Single Source, a company that provides services for ambulatory surgery centers with an emphasis on medical equipment and facility design. Mr. Wallace was also the founder of Outpatient Partners and owned the largest private licensure and accreditation firm in the United States.
As Founder and CEO of Congero, Mr. Wallace has grown the business to include efficient, turnkey services for healthcare site development. The companies he has led have developed centers throughout the United States including California, Oregon, Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Missouri, Alaska, Wisconsin, Texas, North Carolina, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Arkansas.
Mr. Wallace’s areas of specialty include site acquisition; feasibility and business analysis (payor and procedure mix, project cost breakdown, break-even/cash flow); project management; space design, equipment procurement and placement; contracting, physician recruitment and business development. Mr. Wallace is a member of the Freestanding 100 ASC, ASC Association, CASA, MASA and lobbies in Washington D.C. and Sacramento for the ASC Industry. He is currently pursuing his CASC certification for administration of ambulatory surgery centers.
Gary Savlov
President
Mr. Savlov serves as President for Congero Development. He brings 25 years of medical sales and upper-management experience to Congero, along with an entrepreneurial spirit honed from owning and operating his own medical distribution company for the past eight years.
While competing with multi-million and multi-billion dollar companies, Mr. Savlov has grown his distribution company a minimum of 32% each year. In 2008, he produced a 52% sales increase, doubling his gross profit dollars.
Mr. Savlov’s longevity in the medical industry, and work with hospitals and surgery centers throughout the country, has enabled him to develop strong business and personal relationships with physicians in multiple specialties. Mr. Savlov’s expertise in negotiating favorable pricing with the largest product manufacturers in the country, combined with his long-term strategic planning skills, brings tremendous value to the Congero Team.
Joe C. Vasconcellos
CFO
Mr. Vasconcellos serves as Chief Financial Officer for Congero Development. With specific knowledge in science and medical industries, he brings to Congero a strong track record of financial discipline and experience implementing well developed business strategies for entrepreneurial ventures.
Mr. Vasconcellos began his professional life in personal finance, but has built his career on applying the strategic aspects of finance to businesses large and small. An entrepreneur himself, he has been partner and financial advisor to several successful ventures, including MTB Gear which he sold in 1997.
More recently, Mr. Vasconcellos has focused his efforts as a consultant to entrepreneurs, serving in various management roles. He obtained Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the College of Financial Planning in 1987 and has served on the board of a local bank, as well as a partner in a financial services firm. These experiences revealed the need for strategic business planning specific to entrepreneurial ventures, and his passion in this area has led him to the role of executive coach with a highly regarded management training firm.
Kathryn Wallace
Vice President, Product Development
Ms. Wallace serves as Vice President of Product Development for Congero. She oversees the construction value engineering, specifications and Interior design for Congero and has achieved many design awards in her career.
Prior to co-founding Congero, Ms. Wallace served as President of Just Design Group, which provided Construction Value engineering solutions and design services to builders and developers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. She is a veteran of the building industry where she has over 19 years of experience. She is a member of the Freestanding 100 ASC, ASC Association, MASA, NAWIC and CASA and lobbies in both Washington D.C. and Sacramento on behalf of the ASC industry. Ms. Wallace also worked previously for both Single Source and Outpatient Partners in the ASC industry.
Stephanie Goddard
Director of Marketing
Ms. Goddard serves as Director of Marketing for Congero Development. She is responsible for public relations, advertising and integrated marketing efforts supporting Congero and its related ASC properties. Ms. Goddard also assists in developing and promoting the charitable efforts of Congero and its partners.
With 15 years of marketing communications experience, Ms. Goddard most recently served as senior vice president at Zeno Group, an integrated marketing agency in Santa Monica where she led public relations and consumer marketing programs for clients such as Tylenol, Alliance Health, T-Mobile and other large brands. Prior to that, she was vice president at Manning, Selvage & Lee, where she spearheaded a wide variety of consumer programming during her 11- year tenure.
Alex Thiessen
Director of MIS
Mr. Thiessen is director of MIS for Congero Development with responsibility for the planning, infrastructure and integration of IT systems for Congero and its various healthcare projects. His overall goal is to ensure that IT systems are efficient and support physician needs to ultimately enhance the delivery of healthcare.
His work includes the planning for IT systems during the development phase to meet the unique needs of each project; software selection ensuring HIPAA compliance and integration with nurse call, video and audio needs; implementation of software and staff training. He is also tasked with selection and application of EMR systems.
Mr. Thiessen has been with the company since 2005. Prior to Congero, he provided computer and software support for various business and personal applications, including several years implementing IT integration among related business units.
